Something's Rotten in the State of Maryland - Laura A. Sonnenmark

I've been trying to read this book again for so many years. The first time I read it I was a teenager. So it was like 10 years ago. I remembered I liked it a lot. And I searched for this book in the library where I borrowed it. Nothing. It disappeared. So when I found it on Amazon, I did not hesitate and I purchased one.

WOW, the book looked so old when I got it. And it is old. It belonged to a Public School in Minnesota I think. The last student borrowed it (it still has the card from the library!) in 1995!

I still like it after I re-read it. Of course it is not the same now as an adult. But the story is fun, Marie is so funny and sarcastic and a little silly sometimes, and Simon is cute and intense, and the play is fun, and the other characters are also a lot of fun. And it has that taste "so-from-the-'90" (where cellphones where non-existent! where the teenager spend a lot of time talking on the phone and the rest of the family complains about it!

Recommended to girls who like a light, fun, old-school book.
