キャットストリート Vol. 1 [Kyatto Sutorīto] - Yoko Kamio, 神尾葉子

3 stars and a half.

This is a drama. I could not help thinking about Shirley Temple when I was reading Keito's past, when she was a child and her mother insisted on making her a celebrity. And then when she made friends with Nako, who was just using her all the time. Poor child celebrities, being forced to do acting and dancing because of their parents. Due her childhood, Keito became a melancholic girl, without friends and apart from everybody. Until she starts attending this school 'El Liston', where she meets new people and meets up with an old classmate again.

So far, they are all good characters. I like her new friends: the soccer player, the former soccer player, the geek and the Goth-Lolita girl (I still did not memorize their names). In fact, my favorite guy is the geek (after looking for his name, I got it.... It is Kouchi!), he reminds me of Ryu of Kimi ni Todoke (I like him better than the soccer player, as a potential love interest for Keito... but it looks it is not going on that way) Her family, on the other hand, is terrible. Her sister is a total bitch, and her mother, a exploitative person.

I'll probably continue reading this manga.
