SPOILER ALERT!

The Ruby in the Smoke

The Ruby in the Smoke - Philip Pullman It was entertaining, the mystery was good and I think there wasn't a single boring moment... things are always happening (murders, kidnapping, etc). I liked that there were several murders, not only one. Made things darker and more dangerous for Sally and her allies. You can tell the book is YA when, at the end, Sally can get away so easily for the kill she committed.

I won't be reading the rest of the series, though. I was reading the reviews and the spoilers (I do that sometimes). The way the things develop seems like BS. No way in hell will I read #2.

Also, while I was reading this book, I read some shocking news about my ichiban boyband. Heartbreaking news that made me not pay too much attention to what I was reading. So I guess I will associate this book in the future to this day (November 24th), when, AGAIN, one member is leaving us.

Traitor! :P
