Mary Poppins

Mary Poppins - Mary Shepard, P.L. Travers Yikes, I don't like the new changes in GR, not at all! Why the hell did they also have to change the review box??

I liked this book, it is a wonderful fantasy world, and each story was full with magic. It is very charming, also very British, and I loved the talking animals. It is, no doubt, different from the movie, especially when it comes to Mary Poppins. Mary Poppins-movie: lovely, lively and beautiful. Mary Poppins-book: vain, grumpy and not very likeable. Of course Disney always change what is bad to good; it was (or is still) a talent of his. This Mary Poppins did not seem to care for taking care of the children, and I wondered several times, why people, magical and also the children, liked her so much? Her personality wasn't really sparkly, nor she was nice, nor she was fun. There is only one moment in the entire book (and maybe also in the end) where she shows that she maybe a tsundere, but still....
