Son of War, Daughter of Chaos - Janette Rallison

This is the first time I rate a JR book so low. I am very disappointed, to say the least. I could not like the Horusians nor the Setites; I disliked all characters (and this is the first time I disliked a MC written by JR); I thought the war between both was pointless and absurd.

I was so tempted to drop it a couple (several) times, but since it is Janette Rallison, and since I paid for it, I had to finish it. But it was hard, especially since it is written from Aislynn's POV and she is so unsympathetic. She falls in love twice, but for a pretty face. Both times. And my, has she the fault of every thing that goes wrong or what. So many bad decisions, one after the other. From beginning to end. The romance -or romances- was super MEH, and I would have liked it more if Aislynn remained on her own and alone in Oxford at the end. But no, it was ruined the moment Dane appeared. What a shame.
