Death Note, Vol. 1: Boredom - Tsugumi Ohba, Takeshi Obata What a story! It was so engaging from beginning to end. The 2 main characters, Light and Ryuk, are very likeable, despite being (both of them) anti-heroes. Light starts to kill people in the Death Note in such a clever way. I like that there is a competition between two clever guys: one the killer, the other the detective. And Ryuk is not a mere spectator... his role is also interesting.

I was shocked when Light says that, if his family finds out about the Death Note, they will all die of a heart attack. WTH! Is he seriously thinking about killing his own family, or it was just a saying?

The artwork is also great. So far I have not read a manga with this kind of artwork, it almost looks like a comic. There are no chibis in this one, nor exaggerated expressions. And even if I read an Argentinian edition, it did not distract me from the story, as it happened with Bleach.

I will definitely continue to buy the manga.
